Tips on Saving Money for Lunch at Work
With the economy slowing down, as individuals and families, we have to begin finding places to cut back on our spending. While we are hurting at the pump, and paying higher prices for food, many of our salaries aren't going up with everything else. One of the main places that a lot of money is spent is on food for lunch when we are at work. There are several ways to cut the costs of spending for lunch during the workweek.
One easy way to save money on purchases for lunch is bringing your own lunch. Even if you need to get out of the office, you could always head to the park to eat on nice days, or at any other public facility that allows you to bring food and get out for a while. If you can't get out of your place of employment, head to the kitchen or cafeteria if you have one instead of staying at your desk. Look for coupons, sales, and food that you can buy in bundles to save money. Also when you are preparing dinner the night before, make a little extra and set it aside so that you can bring it in your lunch for the next day.
Another great way to save money on lunch is to pool your money with your employees. Suggest that you all go in together and buy pizza, a large order of chicken, a tray of sandwiches, or any other foods of your choice. If you all pay for lunch together, there will be smaller portions of money that everyone has to shell out. Also, employees can also go out together to a restaurant to relieve stress, and also lunch can be a great way to bond with your co-workers, and perhaps speak about topics in a less stressful environment as well. While you are spending less money, you are also getting a chance to just let loose for some time.
