Online basketball and other fantasy type statistically driven genres can force players to try to artificially inflate their own statistics. It is hard to say whether or not Ricky Davis was thinking of some sort of online basketball forum or else he was thinking of his own contractual agreement when he personally shot at his own opponent's basket in an attempt to get a rebound that would have given him a triple double that would have been recorded as such by online basketball sources. You would think that the contractual bonuses were what he was focused on as opposed to some sort of online basketball or fantasy based statistical game.
You do tend to see some more focus being placed upon statistical issues than you use to by your basic fan.
