Folks young and old alike are always interested in the perfect items to guarantee a successful tailgate. From food to fun the list can get lengthy however only a few items should be considered must haves. So the next time you are planning make sure these essentials end up at your tailgate.
First and foremost, you must have a way to prepare food, preferably a grill. If you are unable to pack up the big daddy on your deck then you must have a portable to stand in it's place. A Tailgate Party without grill food just isn't a tailgate at all.
Second, a table, preferably 6 footer to hold all of your goodies. The food, plates, napkins, flatware, cups, you name it, the table will hold it. A 6 foot table is ideal so you can set up a buffet style plating once the food is prepared. You might consider throwing a box of garbage bags in there too. These aren't essential, but, they may be a needed item.
Next, you must have a cooler! The cooler will keep all of your pre-game beverages good and cold. While your at home, toss a couple of coldy holders, or beer coozies if you will. This will help keep your favorite beverage cold in the summer time and keep your hand from freezing in the winter.
And last, you have to have something to do during your pre-game. Don't forget to pack your Cornhole Game! This game is by far the number one tailgate activity of today. No more chucking the football around, hoping your buddy doesn't launch it over your head taking out grandma Edna at her one game a year. This game is controlled, structured and is so easy to pack up, setup, and play. It also allows anyone to particpate, young and old.
